2GB Rugby League Tipping Application

Brief

2GB provided Pillar Digital with the following brief for their tipping app:

- To increase fan engagement as key feature of 2GB’s all new rugby league website

- Drive membership acquisition

- App must be fully responsive and iframed within the Rugby League website

Solution

The resulting tipping app was a result of significant collaboration between 2GB and Pillar Digital, resulting in an app which was:

- Fully responsive app

- Embedded (as an iFrame) within the 2GB site

- Social sharing to Facebook, Twitter, Google + and more

- Data capture

- Sign up to newsletters and other marketing materials

Results

To date 2GB have yielded a 25% member acquisition increase YOY. The application was successfully delivered within the short times scales given featuring the largest prize fund of any tipping app in the country.
